Laughter Can Be The Best Medicine

Sunday, May 13th, 2012

I’m sure you’ve heard that laughter is the best medicine. Laughter is shown to reduce stress, enrich our lives and help us live longer. Did you know that research has shown that laughter can help ward off illnesses too? Who better than to share the gift of laughter with, than the ones you love.

Keep in mind, that laughing with someone is much more effecting than laughing AT someone. Making fun of someone may provide you with a chuckle, but chances are, the person the the receiving end of your fun is not feeling the same way. In a relationship, bonding occurs when laughing together at the same things. Laughing together is powerful when life throws you stuff that’s not so funny. Together you’ve become a cohesive unit that can tackle problems together.

On occasion, partners can feel a little lost, or like they don’t have many things in common with each other. This is a good time to share something you both feel is funny. When you both laugh at something, suddenly you are sharing some common ground. The two of you don’t seem miles apart when you’re enjoying the same quirky sense of humor.

Laugh when you are mad? Well, it can be hard to believe that laughter has any place in an argument, but if you can crack a funny joke to lighten the mood, it gives you both the chance to step away from the heated discussion and regroup. Maybe you’ll forget what you were squabbling about or at the very least find a way to work out the problem. Laughter can diffuse bombs.

Slow yourself down when your partner is talking to you and laugh when he says something funny. It’s a little thing that will make both of you feel good. It’s nice to be appreciated when you’ve said something funny, isn’t it?

Laughing, as well as playing together are crucial for a healthy relationship and can really make for a strong bond. Take a look at your own relationship to see if the laughter is still there. If it is, you’re on the right track. If not, you can take steps to add it back in. Perhaps start with a comedy show or a funny movie that will make you both laugh. It’s time to recharge those funny bones because laughter truly is the best medicine for your relationship.

Time for Freebies and Cash

Time for Freebies and Cash If you’re like me, you are probably a member of some quality cash sweepstakes websites, where you eagerly participate gaining access free online rewards, cash and prizes. I’ve been doing this for years and I personally feel that it’s quite fun. I know many people who have tried these programs and quit after a while because they feel the programs are time-suckers. I agree that there’s always a possibility they can become that, but they don’t have to. After almost 20 years online, I’ve developed a few tricks that enable me to continue to enjoy my freebies and cash gaming online, but not eat my time away.

For example, I have my favorite freebies and cash gaming sites bookmarked in my browser, as many do. But I have them organized into folder, like my “daily play”, and “weekly play”. This way, I don’t have to go hunting down the right link to do when. I also have my most important “do not miss” websites always at the top of their corresponding folder, so that even if I’m crunched for time, I will still make sure to at least hit those first. When a great new contest comes around, for example, I might move that up to the top of my “daily play” folder, enter each day, and then remove it from that folder when it ends. Also, I make sure my browser is running efficiently, but cleaning out my browser cookies/history and just keeping up with general computer maintenance, so that I don’t have to deal with any unnecessary slowness.

I generally set aside about 10 minutes of my morning computer routine to “play” my online favorite sites, enter drawings, giveaways, sweeps, etc.. It’s a nice time I enjoy each morning, after I check my mail and while I sip my strong back coffee. When I win, that’s a bonus I enjoy as well!

If you enjoy time online for freebie collecting, cash sweeps and gaming, I hope that you found one or two of my tips helpful. If you have tips of your own to share, feel free to share them in the comment space below. Thanks!
